As someone who is still paying off some debts I know the trap all too well 'Buy Now Pay Later', 'Low Interest Rates For The First Year'.... and sometimes it isn't even just because we want to indulge... sometimes life just boxes us into a corner and we don't know where to turn to next.
I do not have all the answers but I can definitely say that when you allow reality and the truth to stare you in the face you have a choice - you can ignore it or work to make it better....
Budget: You might need to cut down on the post work pre drinks and have a quarter chicken as opposed to a half chicken at Nandos but its worth it. One of the biggest gifts you can give yourself is to learn to live within your means! Write it down, type it up, tattoo it on your heart and stick to it.... remember budgeting isn't just about having enough to tip you over to the next month... SAVE TOO.
Another key nugget of advice is P R I O R I T I S E - make sure you deal with the things that matter first, don't leave yourself stranded because of a wild night out!
As I am typing this I feel like I am reminding myself of the reality of it all, it is very imperative to not be the cause of your demise - keeping up appearances doesn't pay the bills.
